Why include Business Continuity information on a website dedicated to Community Emergency Response Teams?
Because being prepared is part of what we do and because our communities are comprised not just of neighbors but of the busineses that support those neighbors. Share this information with those who need to consider preparing their businesses as well as their families for times of emergency.

Open for Business® Online Training Series
We understand that many small business owners or managers live and breathe their jobs. This leaves little time to devote to planning ahead for a disaster that may never strike. It's a risky balance because if a business interruption does occur, those who have a financial stake in the business may never recover. To help ease the planning process, IBHS has created this FREE online training series to help with time management as you follow along with the Open for Business® toolkit. This series consists of eight sessions, accompanied by assignments. By the end of each session, you will have completed another part of your Open for Business® toolkit, culminating in your completed business continuity plan. You'll be able to sign up to receive reminder e-mails to help you stay on track. By breaking up the planning process into manageable steps, we hope to help you achieve resiliency and peace of mind for yourself, your employees and the customers who count on you.
